New year, new home. Cityzen Club moves into their new studio space in Moss Side.
2021 is going to be an exciting year. Eight months into the SSE Start Up programme, Cityzen Club have moved into Boiler House and begun to renovate their new studio space.
Oswin Jackson, Project lead at Cityzen Club, says: “We are very excited to become residents at Boiler House. The workshop and studio space are key for us to expand our business, as we deliver more co-design projects and woodwork sessions with the local community.”
Boiler House is an industrial building in the heart of Moss Side, 5 minutes from Alexandra Park. It used to supply hot water to the community and has mostly been used for storage since the area modernised.
Sow the City operate the building and they have ambitious plans to develop a community venue for events, workshops and food growing projects. Other residents include a food bank and a carpentry business run by Eddie Garside.
